For the past decades, many cases have failed. Many crimes have remained unsolved. Many criminals have lived a free life, a life that they do not deserve. Most of all, many families have been left with grievance. In this paper, the role of Ethics in security management shall be discussed. Security management have been an important asset in the preservation of peace and order in the society. With the help of Ethics, security management would be more effective. Effective in a sense that more crimes would be solved and more justice would be served.

Having ethical security provider in our society would bring about assurance to the people that the guilty people would be punished and the innocent will not be blamed. The Role of Ethics in Security Management In this paper about the importance of ethics in security management, the term ethics shall be first defined in order to have a clear understanding of the succeeding points. “Ethics is not a set of prohibitions”. Though it is the sense of right and wrong of an individual, still, all of us are different.

Thus, people have varying perception of things. The practices of ethics should be a reflection of its theories. People’s sense of right and wrong are mostly based on the standards of religion. But ethics is treated as independent of religion. Lastly, ethics is not relative or subjective (Singer, 1-4). The main concern of this paper is to determine the importance of ethics in the security management. By applying ethics in the security industry, more justice will be served to those people who need it. More services will be rendered accordingly.

And the expectations of the people, as well as the standards of the Government will be met. The public sector, giving services- pertaining to health, protection and education needs to the poor (Public sector, par1. ), and private sector- pertaining to the business sector which are out of the control of Government, should work together (Private sector, par. 1). Not involving a change in rules of one, but instead, the two sectors must understand the differences of each in order to play the role they are supposed to.

One Supreme Court case that showed hesitancy to extend constitutional protection to private sector justice is the Case No. 97-428 IN THE Supreme Court of the United States OCTOBER TERM, 1997. In this case, Robert A. Miller complains about the wrong mandates being implemented in the Delta Airlines.
